GL that song from Brel you posted is indeed absolutely moving, one of my favourite classical French songs .. 

Do you like this one from   " Jules et Jim " ?

 Jeanne Moreau   Le Tourbillon de la Vie , in the film Jules et Jim.

Basically, she is in love with two men and can't choose. I love that film .

( When being translated;   the lyrics of course lose their rhymes and  magic ..)
