[Steve,  I know you are, just like me, interested in history, WWII , etc,  so you should like this song by Serge Reggiani entitled " Les loups sont entrès dans Paris " ..

Obviously the Wolves stand for teh Naz*s , Hitler, etc...   A great video that helps understand the song..

Gives me goose pimples when I know what my family went through at that period................

Les loups sont entrès dans Paris ( The wolves got into Paris )

Interesting pictures of Paris occupied, when the Naz*s entered Paris, and at the very end the Liberation of our Capital, as well as a scary image of Maréchal Pétain shaking Hitler's hand ....

A hit song of the time from Vera Lynn although those are not the words that are normally sung[;-)]

Couldn't agree more Krust, went for a spin yesterday just to feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my face.  I reckon if I take the basket off the front and unbolt the stabilisers I could maybe get the Sturmey Archer into top gear.

Part of the "Hooked on Classics" conducted by Louis Clark.  If you are not particularly fond of classic music it is a great introduction.

It's a selection of Pete's best works.

Tchaikovsky wrote music which, in the opinion of Harold Schonberg, was distinctly Russian plangent, introspective, with modally-inflected melody and harmony........I wonder if you agree? [:)]

No..not Bonzo.  I had a friend who called his dog Ceefur.  He wanted to buy a Cortina but couldn't afford it so bought a dog instead. So...you are probably ahead of me.. but...Ceefur Cortina.

I wonder if Frenchie knows her big-end from her small-end and does she know where her gudgeon-pins are.  Lovely cam lobes though.

Had to take dog to the vet because I have a ticket to ride tomorrow.

Teapot, did a member of Cutting Crew have a Jack Russel which featured on one of its albums?
