Chris Head
The Portugese should be ashamed, they played as dishonourably as the French played honourably. They tried to cheat and lie their way to the final, honour and graft won through. Well done the Blues.Chris
Patmobile
Yes, but surely Barthez must have been slipped a bung by the Portuguese at half-time? Fortunately, even his antics couldn't turn the Portuguese drama queens into goalscorers.Patrick - in a state of high nervousness and in need of a stiff drink

You may find me in a welsh valley, barricaded in a farmhouse, seated deep down in an armchair with a bottle of ? ooooh now what should I be drinking?... Champagne or just plonk!... I think I will get both and be ready for any eventuality! Allez les Bleus!! Allez les Bleus!! Allez les Bleus!!
ali-cat
Keep your Champagne on ice, Missyesbut, for celebrating!! [:D] Roll on Sunday & I hope Zidane gets to lift the Cup, in his last match!!! The Portuguese players antics, were a disgrace, throughout the tournament & I must admit, we laughed our little legs off at Twinkle-toes Ronaldo, at the end of the match! (no offence to our Twinkle, of course!! [:-))] )Congratulations to your hubby, Twinkle !! Brilliant news!! [:D]
TWINKLE
Keltia Musique, as in "France's most important distributor of specialist music imported from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Spain, the United States and Canada"?! Brilliant! So what sort of music does your husband play? But I am digressing (it is rather late!) - very happy about France winning against Portugal! Do you think they can win the World Cup now?
Yes that's the one! He's in a 6 piece trad band (celt influences) here's their web site www.doolin-band.com .Last nights celebrations were great in my village! It's not like when England wins or anything, much calmer, but the french really are so proud at the moment. I'm afraid to think about them losing on Sunday, it will be miserable faces all summer! DZ
God, girls, maybe we should start a new thread on the music before someone objects? I had a nosey too, Pads - let me guess, Twinkle: does he play violin? The band must be really good to have been signed up with Keltia (I am a big Chieftains fan!). TWINKLE
They are great aren't they? Even if you're not a trad music fan its still a pleasure to see them play 'cos' they're so good!My husband is the tall curly headed one ( bass player). They will be playing 8th AND 9th July at St Etienne, but the Sunday gig has been bought forward to 3.30pm due to the world cup final.I suppose we could make a new thread, but now that the semi-final is well and truly over it's not like we're hi-jacking an exisiting thread. Yes or no Russethouse?

TWINKLE
You click on L'Album, you will then get the song titles. Next to each title is Mp3 and a figure written in white, click on this and you should hear each song.Viv, I think Tresco has a photo of me singing on stage, I've lost the link to these photos. However, on a thread a few weeks ago KKK said I look like thishttp://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/2/693854/ShowPost.aspx#693854You'll just have to come and see me on stage one day to see if she's telling the truth!
