Is it me?

In short - an online journal. Short for weblog (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption.

Don't worry - I am on the wrong side of 50 (ie 50-) and I only found out what blog is last year (and I absolutely love them!).

I m rapidly apporoaching 51  - this weekend. Try this.

A Web site is actually like a massive jigsaw puzzle very loosely held together with pointers/string whatever your analogy. Basically many 'pieces' have to fit together well for it to work. Updating a web-site is a pain.

A 'Forum' like this one provides a structured environment within a web page where we mere mortals may post streams of wisdom and rubbish without interfering too much with the jigsaw. Essentialy we have neen given 'playing rights' on one piece of the jig saw.

'Blogs'  are similar to a forum in that they operate within a few pieces of the overall jigsaw. Generally one person leads with their own stream of thoughts, and others can add their two-pennorth. All without getting involved in the nuts and bolts of updating a web-site.

Sorry blogs (I have a slight gold!)  Missy is slightly [8-)]

I was under the general impression that to be on the right side of 50 meant that you were -50, in the late 40's type of age....and to be on the wrong side of it was 50+  i.e. well passed it, careering fast to collect a bus pass!

>>>I am ,so I'm told, on the right side of 50 (that means 50+) <<<Tom'n'Jen

>>>Don't worry - I am on the wrong side of 50 (ie 50-) <<<davieszak

Oh well!  this language will never cease to amaze/amuse me!  [:D]

Passed it ?? Passed what?

The peasants are revolting, I'll have you know my young lady that I jog over 30 miles a week and road cycle over 120 miles a week and think nothing of spending 45 minutes on a cross-trainer ! Passed it ? I have even got near it yet.

Mind you I do sometimes think if there is anything else to do whilst I am down there tying my laces or is it that I am trying to conserve energy?

God, brings to mind the days when I had to  go to the gym at lunchtimes to keep fit!   Cross trainer -aaagh!  Spinning classes used to be a hoot, though - mainly due to the inventiveness of the bloke who took them.  But certain songs can still bring me out in a sweat by association!
