Missy
It is 30 years to the day, thanks to HM Government Customs & Excise Dept, that I was classified as an ALIEN!! I well remember the stamp put on my passport as I arrived on these shores at Folkestone. How they kindly let me through with that on I still wonder [blink] I would like to know who on the forum has lived the longest away from the land they were born and brought up ? Was it an 'indulgence of youth' to travel the world or other reason that made them live the homeland ?Have they stayed in or moved away from the area they first arrived, or indeed moved to an other country ?How difficult or easy did they find it to settle in their new 'home' in terms of language, job, friends, relationships, finding a place to live etc...?Do they find/feel themselves fully integrated and more important do their neighbours consider them as 'one of them' ?Would they like to go back to the land of their birth and live there ?
