Actual Artist Wins Turner Prize Shock!

It's true. Some German woman called Abts won it. She actually uses

paint to make pictures one could hang on the wall. Some of them are

quite good too. Ok, she's a little bit whacky because they are all the

same size (48 by 38 cm), but what she puts out is clearly recognisable

as art. Whatever next: a readable book winning the Booker prize?

Good for Tomma Abts !  At last a return to sanity and not having to to listen to drivel explaining the former winning 'artists' concepts.  She has the honesty to say 'the paintings don't symbolise anything, they represent themselves'.
