Can you all tell me where you go to get the best exchange rate for a large sum enough for the purchase. I have no less than 3 account with FX dealers but have been reading about CurrencyFair. The deposit was done through MoneyCorps. I appeared to have got a good deal with WorldFirst but for some reason went with MoneyCorp and there didn't seem much difference between them. CurrenciesDirect and TorFX we both had an agent on the phone who seemed to be taking their pound of flesh. TransferWise.com and ExchangeFair.co.uk we found the best rates (broadly both the same at 0.5% away from bank wholesale). If anyone has any other dealers that they've used that can provide cheap reliable transfers please let me know!! idun Posted January 21, 2017 Share Posted January 21, 2017 When we transferred from France to the UK we used TORFX and now we usually use Currency Fair. EVERYONE who deals with currency transactions takes their cut. Best to talk to the various fx companies and see what they are offering.
