Fiona
What a pretty place!! I have just searched where we are (NS7545) and although not like this today it may be here soon. Fortunately the rain, sleet and snow we had earlier today has come to nothing.

Limousin Lass
Thanks for this link BB, brought back some wonderful memories of childhood for me seeing where I used to take my dog for a walk as a 5/6 year old, where my grandad used to work and the path I used to walk to meet him. Left that area over 50 years ago so quite an emotional trip back in time.Sylvia
powerdesal
I never did care too much for the Craven Heifer, much preferred the Bull at Broughton. My son lives at Sough though, where that name came from I will never know, it was just Earby and Kelbrook when I lived in the area. Hoddy
Sough is a hamlet in the parish of Kelbrook. In my memory the Craven Heifer was always a miserable sort of place. Maybe it's better now.Hoddy
Scooby
At the end of our lane (less than five minutes walk from our house). Imho - just as beautiful as anything in France. More pics

Frederick
Very interesting .......especially as my sons home is shown. The photographer has it in shot when he took the photo of his next door neighbours house as its an unusual conversion ....describes it and writes " Hope the owner does not object .if so please get in touch " too late now .....I know the owners.. two elderly ladies tucked away down an un lit road ..if they knew their home was on display to all they would not sleep nights ..retired antique dealers . Hoddy
I already have ! There's a surprising number of us with connections to the Barlick/Earby area given that it's not exactly heavily populated.Hoddy
cooperlola
I know they keep b**gering about with the border.
Mr C and I used to share a flat with a chap from Barlick. If I really wanted to annoy him, I referred to him as "my fellow Lancastrian".[6]
