Corrupt and incompetant Regime

Can you give money to the rescent disaster in Burma via French Banks and is there any way to ensure that the corrupt Junta does not take the money and use it for them?

Does anyone else find it strange that there has been no news at all on Burma? No mention anywhere as far as I can see about what is happening with or for the suffering people and the horrible regime in charge of the country. [:(]

It is interesting to note that for the first time China has accepted aid following the disastrous earthquake.  How can we ever understand the mentality of a nation like China?  There are too many debatable points to list here....

It was last reported that they finally did allow some of the aid in from the US but the regime itself was taking it for their own use and not allowing it to be distributed to those that desperately need it. That was the last I have heard anything about Burma and that was many weeks ago.
