TWINKLE
I used to work with a girl called Cydna in the 80's. Her mother named her after the famous actress and dancer. She was blonde, 5ft11 and had legs up to her armpits just like the real McCoy!

Judith
In the Channel 4 tribute tonight, it was said that she said that when dancing with Gene Kelly she was black and blue, but when dancing with Fred Astaire there was not a scratch, so she always knew who she'd been dancing with. You can see from the difference in styles why she said that. Astaire was so smooth in his movements, and she fitted into his line effortlessly. She certainly made it look a lot easier than it is. (And I speak from experience as an amateur ballet and stage dancer (now retired!!!)Another of my icons gone!
