Have you bought the new triple DVD, 'When in Rome' ?

If you haven't and you are a fan, it is a 'must have'.

And if you buy it, make sure you watch the third DVD 'Come Rain or Shine' before you watch the two concert DVDs - you will not regret doing it this way round !

Unbelievable! You wouldn't get a lot of change out of a couple of hundred quid these days. Having said that though, the Rome gig last summer (which is what this DVD is about) was absolutely free. And there were an estimated half-a-million people turned up!

Saw them in 76 (I think) when they did Trick of the Tail and have to say it was a spectacular show, wasn't so keen on their later stuff, nor  Phil Collins' self indulgent phase though did see some of the Rome concert on TV a week or so ago and you have to hand it to Phil he is still a great performer as indeed are the rest of the band. So may well buy the dvds - thanks for info!

Those were the days: the next week it was Iron Butterfly, Yes, and Saxon for 30p.

I also saw Led Zep for £1, The Who for 75p, the Stones for £1, the Byrds for 50p etc etc.

Didn't do a deal of work at uni, mind.........

  • 3 weeks later...
We bought the DVDs and settled down to watch all of them last night, but ... found that although we have three discs, labelled correctly, we don't have the second part of the concert, but 2 copies of the documentary instead! Bugger.
