woolybanana
As I watched a member of my family( the youngest, Skin) being rushed to hospital today after some member of the public slipped over her while she was begging, I got to thinking about Health and Safety and I came up with this great RA which I offer as a tribute to all those misunderstood people who have made our safety their concern. BUT, as you look at the foto can you please please tell me why H and S people seem to dress as nuns?By the way, some citizen has just reported my sister to the gendarmerie for being a public nuisance after he slipped on a Banana Skin (Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)Anyway, here is one for the old boy!http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7637605.stm
Kitty
Oh, dear WB, that RA has warmed my heart. These H&S guys are so misunderstood. I long to see the good side of them and here is proof that they are not all that bad after all.
woolybanana
Yes, the good side is sometimes hidden deep I am afraid. Must be the job. Or ....... nah, can't be.[6]
Kitty
Sometimes, WB, with these H&S guys, the good side is impossible to see...
woolybanana
Bit like the bottom of a ship, then, after it has been at sea for a year or so?
Kitty
Barnacles, WB, are virtually impossible to get off. In my time, I've been a bit of a scrubber and have the knuckles to prove this....
woolybanana
Sail your ship through the Panama Canal and the barnacles will fall off in the fresh water. Hence the expression, we dont need scrubbers in the Canal Zone
Kitty
An RA in The Times (note - not the Telegragh or Mail favoured by our very own French Forum H&S regulator) opines that even Our Supreme Leader, GB (who he?), is getting involved in H&S. Great to know that H&S concerns our Comrades and Commissars for Public Order in No 10.http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article3215276.ece
woolybanana
I always fancied Norman Tebbitt to sort out H and S or perhaps Boris the Beast
