Bugsy
Having recently having my chloresterol tablets changed to "Crestor" my long-suffering bouts of tinnitus are now almost constant. In searching the web I found an article on the connection being down to the tablets causing a reduction in CoQ10 subsequently bringing about an increase in noise experienced. It recommends taking a suppliment containing Coenzyme Q10 and I just wondered if any fellow suffers had gone down this route and if so, did it bring about any improvement.Article: btw: I'm aware that its an advert but when you're currently sitting in a tunnel with an express train running through it you tend to look for anything that will stop it.[:)]Gary. Cat
I can't offer any advice based on experience BB, but a search on Google groups brings up several conversations on the subject, if that helps...http://groups.google.co.uk/groups/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=statin+tinnitus+coq10&sitesearch=&sa=N&start=
Gastines
Having had Tinnitus quite severely,24hrs a day for 25 years, I'll try anything. Both UK and French Doc's/Specialists have said there is NO way of reducing noise levels. Did read about Russia/Austria using Decompression Chambers but not sure if it was tried on patients or inmates. My wife has suggested Hypnotism but I'm afraid what secrets I might give away while under the influence. Has anyone tried it?Regards.
Georgina
My sympathies to a fellow sufferer. I find it best to not think about it at all. Just reading this made me concentrate on it and when you do, it gets louder. If you go down that route however, let us know what happens
Alan Zoff
Another sufferer here, game to try anything within reason. Have had constant ringing noise for about 20 years; the train comes and goes but is well and truly sharing the tunnel with me as I type this. There's a fair bit about Coenzyme Q10 on Wiki but doesn't seem to make any connection with tinnitis treatment.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coenzyme_Q10
