Bugsy
Giant Hologram"GEO600 has stumbled upon the fundamental limit of space-time - thepoint where space-time stops behaving like the smooth continuumEinstein described and instead dissolves into "grains", just as anewspaper photograph dissolves into dots as you zoom in. "It looks likeGEO600 is being buffeted by the microscopic quantum convulsions ofspace-time," says Hogan..
ali-cat
Interesting. If the smallest unit of time is the result of a single quantum event then you would expect space-time to be grainy at a microscopic level. But more importantly - what flavour of Pringle?[8-)]Mr Cat
Pierre ZFP
This rings a bell from a Horizon program I think or maybe a Carl Sagen programThe program was about the possibility (or otherwise) of Time Travel. The final proposition was that we are virtual people living in a virtual universe powered by fantastically powerful computers like Deep Thought.Welcome to the Matrix [geek]
