Dog
Saw a bit on the box - yawn - blah blah - because of the recession the insurance companies say 5000 false claims are being made each week costing £40,000,000 and costing each of us £40 a year.I don't understand - if they know they are false claims why are they paying out? If they are paying out - why? or are they so inefficient they spend a fortune stopping false claims? or do they just want to scare people from making any claims so they can make more profit? BJSLIV
That works out at £153 per claim. So unless people are so desperate that they are flooding the companies with very small claims, I assume that's just the admin costs involved in refuting the claims. As for the £40 per person, does that imply that there are only 1 million policies out there.....Statistics! Dog
Statistics - I agree - it's all pointless unless the give a fuller and better explanation. Sheer spin.
