mint
Has anyone installed this and, if so, what's the verdict?
Clair
I have it on the laptop, but I haven't played with it much, as I tend to use Opera if I'm not using Firefox.
Pierre ZFP
I'vr just started playing with this and I think it's very good.A lot like Firefox with the added advantage that if you crash a tab, just that tab closes not the whole browser.
Clair
When you say "a lot like Firefox", can you remove the ads and block Flash objects? If so, I might give it a twirl...[:)]

Pierre ZFP
Well there is a quite efficient pop-up blocker which also gives you the options to accept them if you want (like Firefox). Ads are another matter, if they are within the website then there's nothing you can do but Chrome does stop the spawning of additional windows (tabs) again just like Firefox. It's the crash-proof aspect of it I like most I suppose. Since upgrading to Firefox 3.8 (I think) I have had a number of crashes, mainly around the BBC i-player. Clair
I use AdBlock Plus and Flashblock on Firefox but the add-ons available at the moment do not quite meet with universal approval!http://www.mychromeaddons.com/
pachapapa
I use Chromium on the laptop rather than Chrome.Chromium is the development version of Chrome and usually has a dozen or so updates per weekday. In effect it is just the Chrome Browser but with latest modifications made by the software development team.In order to assist in quick updating I have installed a small program to check for new versions, download if a new version is found and then install.Chromium Updater Version 1.2.
