Mr Coeur de Lion
Ah it's like the political version of the oscars then. Self congratulatory b****ks. Totally meaningless. How did he save the economy by the way?
Dog
Grbrrrr when I realised it was for real I just about choked laughing and nearly knocked my hookah over.. The punch line is the best... the prestigeous award is organised by the man that persuaded the pope to visit a synagogue! It's unreal.
Chancer
So it was indeed mild mannered Gordon Brown who saved the world after all [:)]
Quillan
Perhaps instead of being called Mr 'Prudence' we should now call him 'Flash' Gordon, savior of the universe[;-)]. Seems to me he really does now have his willy well out and placed on the block. Quite good when you consider comments today on the news about it going to take several years to come out of the recession and yesterday about the Pound staying weak for the next two to three years. Still it is America and as we all know they are rather 'special' or should I perhaps say 'different'.
AnOther
It really is completely farcical when on this side of the pond he'salmost universally reckoned to go down as the worst PM of modern times !
Mr Coeur de Lion
Maybe he is like Maggie T. Mostly hated by the home nations, but apparently loved in the rest of the world. Apart from Argentina. And the Middle East. And...
Russethouse
and Tony Blair......not popular here but in the USA........
Mr Coeur de Lion
Tony Blair. Had forgotten all about him. Ah the beauty of not living in the country at all under his rule...We used to laugh at him in Australia. Not that we didn't laugh at Johnny Howard either of course and his frightening eyebrows!!!
