BEST QUOTE OF 2009...BRAVO FOR SHERIFF JUDD!!!

Got to admire the man for being honest.

POLK COUNTY FLORIDA SHERIFF GRADY JUDD

Some 'dirtbag' in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him.

The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.

A state wide manhunt ensued.

The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun.

SWAT team officers open fired and hit the guy 68 times.

Now here's the kicker:

Naturally, the media went nuts and asked why they shot him 68 times.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, told the Orlando Sentinel:

'Because that's all the ammunition we had!!'

(Talk about an all-time classic answer !!!)[:D]

The other quote from that sad episode was perhaps "Too little knowledge is a dangerous thing..."

The 'scumbag' may not have acted in this way if the police had some time before advised him that he had no oustanding warrants.

The Sheriff and his deputies should be held responsible for the 24 shots that missed the cop killer. They had 110 bullets and only hit with 86.

So it may have been more correct to say "We only hit him with 86 shots as we missed with the rest of the ammo".

If they couldn't find the "scumbag", who had disappeared whilst on bail for his previous offences (not having a valid driving license, reckless driving, resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon) to serve the arrest warrant, how could they have been expected to find him to advise him that it had been cancelled?

Who cares? they are no more, one problem solved.

Watching a program the other day about the immigration dept of the UK. They visited establishments in Londons' east end and caught lots of illegal workers. With no where to put them they were released to report weakly to a police station, they all disappeared.

Why weren't they tagged with electronic bracelets? I object to having my taxes wasted on operations costing a small fortune to no end.

Too expensive. [;-)]

This 'scumbag' obviously wasn't a Bob Marley fan then...
