I only mentioned days gone by because things did change over the years, they do. I saw exchange rates all over the place, sometimes in my favour, sometimes not and you just get on with it.

And then there was the gradual introduction of some things concerning transferring money, no idea how quickly this happened, as it took my french bank an age to stop charging me.
