Dog
I only started watching this on the TV recently - it is a horrifying programme - I cannot believe how it is written - probably by throwing a dice. It is a deliciously black comedy and it makes me laugh out loud at times. It should really replace the soaps I do not watch at earlier times on the box.I am actually starting to feel some sympathy for some of the characters. It really is a hoot at times. bubbles
Strangely enough, we just watched 5 minutes of it about 6 minutes ago.We just looked disbelievingly at each other and changed channel.Perhaps we should give it another go sometime when we're feeling stronger. Quillan
I am a great fan of this series although it has changed a bit since it started, some characters have left and new ones have arrived. When we travelled round the UK in my (narrow) boat we stopped at some places very similar to where the program is filmed and they were not very nice, a bit of an eye opener. I have met people in these places who have an uncanny resemblance to the characters portrayed. I certainly makes you humble and grateful for what you have. Excellent program. Jazzer
Paul Abbot the original writer and producer who also wrote "Clocking Off" and others was brought up on such an estate. At least the original series was believed to be semi-autobiographical.
