Sunday Driver Posted July 18, 2010 Share Posted July 18, 2010 The "longest party in the world" took place today when Germany closed off a 40 mile stretch of the A40 autobahn between Dortmund and Bochum. They laid a 37 mile long picnic table down the middle of the autobahn and three million people turned out to enjoy the occasion and picnic in the sun. A million of them turned up on their bicycles and at one point there was a 15 km queue of bicycles waiting to get onto the autobahn.Amongst the festivities they had a baby's nappy changing competition.
