powerdesal Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 I was surprised that there was no mention at all of the spotlights fitted fore and aft to the 617 Lancasters which had beams that intersected when the aircraft was at exactly 60 feet altitude.The altimeters fitted to those Lancasters couldn't register as low as 60 ft as on the programme last night.
