NormanH
I had this in my email this morning...obviously I didn't do any of the things requested, but what was worrying is that I received it the email that I use for my inactive PayPal account
woolybanana
Seems odd, Norman. But definitely phishing. Original though
idun
We often get paypal phishing and ignore them. IF we are worried we open the paypal account and see if there are any messages on the account.
nomoss
What Idun said. Look in your PP account for any messages.

NormanH
Thanks...it is sitting idle because I never feel very comfortable with it: this hasn't helped.
Judith-aka-Judith
I once had a Paypal account, which I decided to close because I was fed up of getting real, but numerous emails from them. I also had severe doubts about their privacy because of the number of scams I got .. easy to spot as they always came via my French email and I used my UK email for Paypal ... This above certainly looks like a scam, cleverer than most though it is.
Loiseau
Deffo dodgy, Norman.1. Doesn’t address you by name2. Full of threats if you don’t respond quickly3. Click on Reply and then look at what the sender's email address is. Usually something rubbish.
mint
On a lighter note, I learned early on in the lockdown that phishing is called hameçonnage! Either the bank or one of our insurance companies sent me an email with that word and a helpful explanation[:)]
Loiseau
What a wonderful word, mint! Thanks. Will try and drop it into a conversation one day...
auxadrets
My dog, Henry, has twice swallowed a hameçon!I shall never forget that word. Henry was attracted by the fishy smell, I think. The veterinary treatment was expensive, to say the least.Angela
