Frederick
This is a good idea ... I like the charity side of it .. Will it only be rolled out for the UK I wonder ? http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/281576/It-s-a-Lidl-treat-as-Santa-s-bus-to-tour-Britain
mint
Frederick, did you post that to make us envious?Talk about Lidl treat, I found a very guilty one a couple of days ago. It was a pack of their version of bakewell tarts (don't know how genuine or traditional) and, you know what, they were yummy! The tarts are all the things I wouldn't normally eat but I did these ones. They have sweet pastry, then a jam layer, then a sponge layer, then a very thick crust of water-and-sugar icing then there is a cherry on top!!!Refused to look at the contents because there was no way I was going to be put off eating TWO, one after the other[:D]
Mayennaise
A few years ago they used to sell the most gorgeous chocolate truffles at Christmas. About four years ago they stopped selling them - never did find out why.
mint
Yes, Mayennaise, I too find that sometimes, a product disappears off their shelves for months and then come back in plentiful supply again. But, after 4 years, I daresay it's unlikely the truffles will reappear.....[:(]
