Hoddy
I've been reading the Guardian blog. Even though I think of myself as being sceptical about many things written in the newspapers I've been surprised by some of it. I thought the McCann's evidence was heartbreaking yesterday. idun
I have been watching some of it. Trouble is that journalists also do good by unravelling corruption, so if we reign them in too much we will be doing ourselves a disservice. The McCann's, I feel for their daughter, but until they come out and say that they were negligent leaving their kids alone like that then I have little sympathy for them. I have never seen it said and in some ways saying it 'later' won't do for me either. Maman poule I am, I would have been crying that I shouldn't have left them over and over. I think that that would have been the 'normal' reaction and that they were suspected never surprised me.
Hoddy
Kate McCann has said many times that she realises that they made a mistake. It just hasn't been as widely publicised as some of the lurid stories have. As to her reaction I don't think any of us know how we'd react to such a dreadful thing. I think I might well go into a kind of 'shutdown' under such circumstances.Hoddy
Russethouse
I must say I haven't had much sympathy for the Mc Canns, but I did feel sorry for them yesterday, probably for the first time....
Hoddy
Interesting. Sienna Miller's lawyer has just said that he advised her to move to France where there are privacy laws.Hoddy
