woolybanana
The pump on the central heating of this house has three speeds. Can anyone please tell me what is the optimal one?
Pierre ZFP
Just out of curiosity I Googled 'Setting central heating pump speeds'Loads of good stuff including this forum http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/ot-grundfos-pump_topic33163.htmlwhich gives good explainations when you read down a bit.Incidently, why do plumbers hang on to ancient units like BTU? Even when I was at school we were using SI units exclusively and that was more than 40 years ago!
Théière
Optimal for flow is 3. Optimal for heat is 1.You don't want too much heat in the water returning or the boiler keeps cycling using more fuel. The new ECO versions of these pumps use about 1/10th of the electric of the old versions.
