pachapapa
The validating by the senegal constitutional court for the incumbent President to serve a third term contrary to the constitution is somewhat bizarre, even for west africa. The nomination of the contender Youssou N'Dour a well known singer was declared invalid. The reasons are strange but appear to be because the man is "casté" because his mother was a "griot". A griot is a traditional story teller and source of genealogy and therefore unable to stand for election. Forgerons/blacksmiths would be treated similarly.http://www.huffingtonpost.fr/catherine-clement/youssou-ndour-president-senegal_b_1239205.html?ref=france
