pachapapa
I am considering joining PayPal in order to purchase items in China & HongKong. The PayPal site is not very informative on the costs of exchange in the transactions. How does it work in practice?
Pierre ZFP
I've used PP for just this purpose. The things I've bought have always been priced in Euros or Pounds. If you buy in Euros then what you see is what you pay. If I buy something priced in pounds, when paying by PP you are shown the exchange rate that will be used (usually a good rate) and the final amount in Euros. If you like it then accept, no further fees to the purchaser
pachapapa
Thanks! I'll sign up this weekend. The prices for 3D TV active glasses are in £ sterling as the only way I can access HK merchants is by pretending to be a UK computer; the netbook will normally just search for expensive PixMania type sites.
