april09
Hi, hope someone can shed light on this please? We keep receiving random bills for relatively small amounts, the latest is for 90 euros, the previous ones were for 69 euros in March and 65 euros in January. Have tried emailing to ask what this latest bill is for and also phoned the local satellite tax office but the lady just kept quoting the "article" number and couldn't help further. Obviously not able to pop in at the moment to discuss in person as in the UK. Text on the bill says...."en application des articles L.252. A du livre des procedures fiscales et L.1617-5 du code general des collectivites territoriales j'ai emis et rendu executoire un titre de recette pour recouvrer le creance dont les characteristiques sont les suivantes". We paid in excess of 3,000 euros for our property taxes last year so really not sure what these small additional amounts are for as very little information on the document. In the past have just paid up but this is the first time in 15 years we have received 3 requests after the taxes have been paid. Thanks to anyone who can assist, Paul
anotherbanana
Could they be for rubbish collection? I think it might still be paid separately from property taxes. Get them to send you the bills to your convenient address. Maybe ask the commune to help change the address?
Ken
Don't pay, it may be a scam. If genuine then all will become clear in the fulness of time!!
Judith-aka-Judith
Depends where the rubbish collections bills usually come from. Ours, plus water ones, are not always easy to work out and one (can't remember which) comes from the local tax office ..
NormanH
the bit just after"le creance dont les characteristiques sont les suivantes"should tell you what the bill is for.Are you registered with https://www.impots.gouv.fr/portail/?If you are you can see all your bills and also there is an internal message service which works much better than standard emails, or at least it does for me.. EuroTr@sh
I think you need to get to the bottom of this. Both the texts referred to relate to the recovery of outstanding debts to the commune. Is it possible that you've somehow omitted to pay a bill?As NormanH says, if you have an espace client on the impots website, you will see at a glance if there's anything outstanding that should have been paid.Full texts here:https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/codes/article_lc/LEGIARTI000006315539/"Article L252 AConstituent des titres exécutoires les arrêtés, états, rôles, avis de mise en recouvrement, titres de perception ou de recettes que l'Etat, les collectivités territoriales ou les établissements publics dotés d'un comptable public délivrent pour le recouvrement des recettes de toute nature qu'ils sont habilités à recevoir."https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/codes/article_lc/LEGIARTI000036365847/"L1617-5° Lorsque la mise en demeure de payer n'a pas été suivie de paiement, le comptable public compétent peut, à l'expiration d'un délai de trente jours suivant sa notification, engager des poursuites devant donner lieu à des frais mis à la charge du redevable dans les conditions fixées à l'article 1912 du code général des impôts."La mise en demeure de payer interrompt la prescription de l'action en recouvrement.L'envoi de la mise en demeure de payer tient lieu du commandement prescrit par le code des procédures civiles d'exécution préalablement à une saisie-vente. Dans ce cas, la mise en demeure de payer n'est pas soumise aux conditions générales de validité des actes des huissiers de justice ;
