dave21478
nup.Looking at the forum front page with the list of each sub forum, there are only a couple of posts per day anywhere these days - if that.
Patf
The same is happening in other french/expat forums, anyway those that I frequent.Maybe everyone is busy with visitors - there are still a few of those around.Or not so many people coming to live in France now, and those of us that do have run out of topics. Lehaut
Feel I should be saying more, but not too good at just doing it for the sake of it. There used to be quite a few UK families with children at our children's schools, but virtually non left now. With the wonderful weather at the moment, would rather be in the garden than infront of a screen anyway!
Pierre ZFP
I have always thought you can tell the weather from the number of posts.More rain = more posts [geek]
Sprogster
lehaut makes an interesting point which is backed up by the surprising lackof posts in the education sections of this forum, in that there has not beenmore than one page of new posts since June 2011. The same pattern emerges fromthe other French forum I am a member of.There is no doubt that in the last few years the number of younger Britsmoving to France with or without children has fallen substantively and many ifnot most that moved during the heyday of the early noughties have left France, the OP being an example now ensconced in the land of the free. Not surprising really, with the depreciation of the £ and deterioratingemployment situation in France. Also the demise of the prime time TV Place inthe Sun type programs probably has something to do with it!
