woolybanana
Apparently there are not enough female engines in Thomas the Tank Engine. Given it was invented by a vicar one is not surprised. If the existing male engines are all puffers, what should the lady engines be called?http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/10532989/Thomas-the-Tank-Engine-needs-more-female-trains-Labour-MP-says.html
YCCMB
And there was a little girl on Radio 4 yesterday complaining that Lego has started producing special Lego kits for girls with pink bricks, and a special girls' edition of the Lego Club Magazine, which she doesn't want: she prefers the Lego bricks and Magazine already available for boys.Perhaps it's time children were just allowed to be children instead of adults intervening to ram "gender-specific" claptrap down their throats? Quillan
5th from bottom paragraph."I was talking to one fright operator who said we think women don't like working night shifts."What is a fright operator? If the trade union is currently running a campaign to get more women train drivers and they are still not getting any women then perhaps that might be telling them something.I think Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty) would make a wonderful narrator for the series.
