Théière
Yes indeed and we lost Raphael Ravenscroft the other week as well.
Alan Zoff
Incredible to think that Cream's record company didn't rate "Sunshine of your love", initially, and didn't want to release it....
mazandcol
I'm ashamed to say I didn't know Jack Bruce had died - but as I was going out of the house this afternoon I had the urge to hunt out 'Disreali Gears' to play in the car (hadn't heard it for a quite a while)... so glad I did. He was such an influence. RIP Jack.
Pierre ZFP
They seem to be dropping like flies recently. Not in the same league but Lindsy de Paul and Alvin Stardust died in the last 2 weeks and also the actress Linda Bellingham, none of whom lived to any great age
Gardian
I have a feeling that Alvin Stardust started off as Shane Fenton (& the Fentones). Am I right?I can remember going to Wallington Public Hall every Tuesday back in the 60's.The bands that they had on were legendary - The Searchers, Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas, The Merseybeats, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders, The Big Three, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, The Hollies, and yes .......... Screaming Lord Sutch!! Others too - doubtless their names will come to me.Great days & I have a feeling that it used to cost about 4/6 to get in. Alan Zoff
You are bringing back - great - memories of Malvern Winter Gardens now. Some brilliant bands, outrageous hair, and girls with long coats over short skirts. Can someone wind back the clock, please.
