andyh4
In retrospect quite a few - but nothing as personally costly as that.
NickP
Arrogance as this case shows can be very expensive. Couldn't have happened to a nicer chap. [:D] [:D]
vivienz
None of the parties involved covered themselves in glory in this incident; it's hard to have sympathy for any of them.I once bought a rather expensive pair of very high heeled shoes. I still have them but don't wear them very often as they are 'car to bar' shoes; I dread to think of the cost-to-wear ratio. Still far better value than a legal bill for arrogance and political vanity.
idun
The most costly decisions in our lives have been beyond our control, as they have been made my others. I sometimes royally mess up, especially when I am trying to do things for the best. So if you asked about stuff backfiring, then I've had that happen lots of times.[blink]
