woolybanana
Can any knowing soul enlighten me as to whether swallows and or swifts have second broods? The nest on my front wall is currently reoccupied but I cant be sure whether it is the last brood which flew a couple of weeks ago simply sheltering from a not too hot day or whether it is Mama having another go.Thanks peeps. andyh4
Two broods is normal according to http://www.cheshireandwirralbirdatlas.org/species/swallow-breeding.htm
Rabbie
I can confirm this by personal observation of swallows nesting at our property. There has been the odd case of three broods but that is rare
