woolybanana
Why were you reading the DM when you seem to hate it so much?

richard51
I've probably said before - the independent field is limited and western financed paper somewhat (very) biased but read all with cynicism. There is plenty on the internet to get an overall view if you so desire.Surely Fox news types are so obviously biased to anybody with the ability to read. Same with the socialist papers but at least see what they are saying.

Sorry most spend a lot of time outside the SE and its not the rest of the UK where they go.Perhaps northerners may feel that the should move to the SE to squat in their places. woolybanana
Richard, how kind of you to offer me guidance. I already read four Uk, two French, the Washington Post and one Belgian paper ( plus the SCMP on occasion), CNN and the BBC (and several financial sites).Oh, and the Beano when my grandson will let me get hold of his copies!?Even stupid ol’ me should be able to get some idea of what is going on by synthesising from that lot, surely!Any additions that you clever chaps might suggest? richard51
WB - and I bet you get the same slant on them all. Can I advise that you review your reading. The times of Israel for example: whilst supposedly is "independent" is right wing , reports daily during the week how many west bank residents have been arrested (Saturdays excluded), lauds the US ambassador to Israel who today says that Israel is right to annex west bank areas against UN resolutions (not surprising as laying the ground). Reports killings of Palestinians pretty much daily. Reports fires, settler activities as minor offences, Palestinians banged up for minor offences and Israelis could not be found for far worse.. - it goes down well. Its totally and obviously biased to anybody.Period. GO CHECK.NB any suggestion of a left of centre paper by me would only provoke contempt - but hey try it. Your perspective may be changed. Far left I do not read. Thibault
I am always faintly surprised at the number of people who obviously read in detail about something they do not approve of or even actively dislke and then post to say how terrible it was that such and such did something or there was a photo in the paper.
