Summer time winter time.

Does anyone know what is happening in France this year? And the UK?

If France stays on summer time and UK changes that would be a two hour tims difference which would be a nuisance.

Well my Tide Timetable book has it in capitals and in red that the hour changes at 2am - to become 1am - on Sunday 27 October this year.

It also happened the night that my daughter was born and the Sister in charge of Intensive Care (long story) wasn't too impressed as her night shift was to be 13 hours long and not the usual 12 hours.

Edit : Ooh er .. I've just checked and I've been doing it wrong all these years. It's 3am becomes 2am and not what I wrote.

I have just looked and it looks like something may be happening next year or the year after, but not 2019.

All EU countries will change as normal this year, as it will happen the weekend before B-spit.

No idea what will happen about changes from then on, but I hope it will continue to change in the future as it has for the last ??????? years.

But maybe that’s a sensible thought, and, as we know, B-spit has nothing to do with anything sensible.

2021 has been proposed by the EU and each state will select either permanant summer or permanant winter time.

Cajal, on this I must so agree, one or the other if you please.  Look at the debacle with the 80 / 90 limit .. on most of my journeys from here the roads go in and out of our and other neighbouring dept, no wonder people are just ignoring the new, or is it now, the old limit!
