anotherbanana
It cant all be bad, can it? Just thought I’d ask posters to name maybe or good thing about confinement. For me, it is the rediscovery of porridge, glorious, hot, thick, gloopy porridge made with half fat milk ( a compromise!) without sweeteners but maybe with added blueberries. And also as a cold snack during the day. Just wander past the stove and dig a spoon in. Heaven.Gonna try porridge sandwiches next. Yes, they do exist. And good for the diet, health and diabetes.Anybody else for porridge.

NormanH
It has obviously gone to your head, Porridge-for-Brains [6]More seriously I have been able to do a lot of catching up on Film, books and Music. For example listening to the Bach Christmas Oratorio and the John Passion at exactly the most appropriate times... Ken
A nice little earner!!On the news this morning :Payments are being stopped for doctors who have been administering covid jabs. They have been 'earning' 30€ a jab with some earning up to a 1000€ a day!!!As for confinement, I honestly haven't noticed any difference! Just shows how boring a life I'm leading!! Mind you I did go to my shooting club yesterday and it wasn't until I was driving back that I realised it was 30 K from where I live!!
NormanH
Ken
All you have done is confirm that which I heard this morning. If your maths are up to it you will see the total figures are about right!!! The 30€ figure is quite different to 100+ figure but you can blame BFM for that!!!
alittlebitfrench
Anyway, bacon on topic.Confinement has allowed me to sort out the landscaping of our wildlife garden and build a loverly shed.Unfortunately, just as I finished the shed I managed cut a nerve in my wrist with a hand saw.Top ALBF tip, don't cut a nerve in your wrist. You kinda lose half your hand. It is not cool. Just realised why they are called hand saws. LOL.
Manon
LOVE porridge - made with one cup of oats and two cups of water and a big spoonful of honey - great breakfast and yes, by golly it keeps you ‘regular’ ! One of the essential shopping items on trips back to the UK - extra large bags of supermarket basic range oats !Other benefits - a wonderfully weeded and pruned garden ready for the spring and summer both last year and this year.We also cleared out cupboards throughout the house and used all the tinned and packet food which was still ( relatively ) in date !Downside - no visitors to stay so minimal housework done ! Will have to have a major spring clean soon before we disappear under a layer of dust and cobwebs ......
