We went to Paris to the Theatre Grévin (in the Musée Grévin) to hear a friend of ours play The Tempest. It certainly makes the music more relevant if you take the time to read the notes and appreciate he wrote this at the start of his problem with hearing.

I can't tell you how very much I've enjoyed all your clips.  Thank you (my latest French adjective that I use all the time) vivement[:D]

Victor Borge has brought back great memories of watching him on TV en famille and laughing our heads off together.  Strange to recall how we all always watched the TV together in the same room.....

And Sabine Deveilhe....always enchanting, rivetting, wonderfully sensative.  And, of course, at her age, she must be near or at the height of her powers.

Thank you again.

Indeed a trailer full of interest.  The first time I heard her sing Queen of the Night, I was completely won over.  From the way she talks about the music, you could tell you were in safe hands.  Here was a singer who could get right to the essence of the music.

On top of all that, she doesn't breathe[:D]

I hope you can access this one, Norman.  I really enjoyed the concert though unfortunately there was a technical glitch of several minutes with transmission during the Saint-Saens.
