Teamedup
I heard on Money Box today on Radio4 that the UK government are starting a web site about living together to explain a couple's lack of rights. I checked on google and found several sites including something from Which. So it would seem that those who are concubines in the UK are in pretty much the same situation as concubines in France. And as I always say, there is no way I would be a concubine in France and by the look of it, I am glad that I did not remain one in the UK.... Val_2
Welcome back TU. This word concubine always conjures up an image for me of some old guy in AliBaba clothing with a load of scantilly clad women in a harem who are known as concubines too. My unmarried neighbour has always worried about being put out on the street if they split up as she reckons there are no rights for her and why the won't get married after 22 years and three kids together is beyond me but then they are not quite a normal family with some of their beliefs anyway.
