no advertising?

I don't quite understand what goes on here. You are not supposed to post messages advertising your goods or services and yet there are loads of replies to postings containing website links to their own business, plus often a lot of information about what they can do you. Is that advertising?

I pressume forum admin mean this sort of post:

Hi Im new here and have a great business selling 'anti nosey parker windows' they are really great and I can give all forum users 50% off, so why dont ya all come on over to my new website at www.blah-blah-blah.com and see what we have for you

And I also pressume they dont mind people linking to their websites in signatures, I wouldnt of thought that was a problem, its more the blatent 'I can do this for all members' post as above
