Deimos
Its now nice to have a search facility that at leastsearches. However, the fact that theresults are presented in what appears a random date order make it somewhat limited(in terms of usefulness).Every forum I know presents search results in chronological orderwith the most recent first (though there are sometimes options to show them ina different order – never seen an option for “random order” though). Are there any plans to have this aspect of the forumimproved ? (or any way round this ?)Ian

Deimos
Many thanks. However, could you explain how the search selectsposts/threads. If I do a search for theword “ash” (without quotes), the search results show the most recent postcontaining the word (“ash”) as “Re: How to make a good fire, 09/02/2006. However, there is a post I made 11/02/2006which contains the work “ash” which does not even appear in the first page ofsearch results (going back to 18/10/2004 (long before the thread with my postwas even started. I have to go to page2 to see my post. In summary, doing asearch for “ash”, first page of results shows posts from several differentthreads covering the date range 09/02/2006 to 18/10/2004 whilst the 2ndpage shows posts in the date range 10/02/2006 to 15/01/2006 and page 329/12/2005 to 02/02/2004, page 4 from 12/11/2005, etc. Have I misunderstood something ?Ian
