automated email

Having disabled automated email on my profile earlier today, i'm still receiving them in my email account, why?

Me too!  Is there anything else that we have to do?  I sometimes curse that word game....

Is it the "Enable Email Notifications of replies to your posts" that you turned to "No"?  I can't think of anything else you can do except ask James to have a look.

I can't change anything in my profile recently - I just get error messages.

In the meantime you could just stick in a duff email address in you profile as a temporary measure.

I think I've cracked it - you also have to click on the "notify" icon

at the top of the page for the particular thread - then it changes from

being coloured to being one colour -  and I only had one email

this morning (don't know how that one got through!).

Glad you've sorted it - believe it or not, I thought of that over breakfast this morning and was about to post what you already said. 

So any threads where you were already being notified have to be individually 'de-notified'?

Final idea - if you want to receive notifications but find they are a nuisance when they get mixed with your regular mail, you could always set up a rule to put mail from the forum in a separate folder.
