Bugsy
I have just received a very informative file in .pps (Powerpoint Slide Show) format. Does anyone know how, or indeed if, this can be loaded into a thread on this forum ?
Albert the InfoGipsy
I don't know if it's possible (doubt it, but...) but it is likely that a majority of members won't be able to read it. I'm pretty sure that you need Powerpoint, or a Powerpoint reader and this is fairly rare in home computing. I've seen ads for conversion utilities but they seem to turn out .exe executables that (a) will only run on a Windows PC and (b) represent a virus risk as an Internet download. If I'm wrong someone please tell me. It wouldn't be the first time.
Cat
It depends whether the slide show uses lots of fancy moving elements. If it's pretty much static slides you could always use "save as" and save it in JPEG format. Powerpoint will save each slide as a separate file, and you could post them on Flickr or Photo Bucket, and then link to them on the forum.Of course, if the slide slow is a long one, that might just be more effort than its worth.
