Nick Trollope
Still having problems. If I try to post a picture from my WS (I don't/won't use photobucket, so Chris's instructions can't help), I get the box with a red X and something like 'border="0"/>' (in fact I get it if I previewthis page)I'm using the format; Is the fact that I am using a .jpg a problem? Any other ideas?
Will
http://www.vienormande.com/images/msm1.jpg does not work, but this does:You need to put the letters IMG in square brackets in front of your URL, and /IMG in square brackets after. Nick Trollope
Done that, in both small & capital letters, on the same line or new lines. The result is as my original posting. The picture exists on my server.
Will
Well, it works for me. I haven't a clue where that 'border' stuff comes from. It looks like you will have to try to get an answer out of the moderators or admins (easier said than done, I know). Sorry I can't help, Nick. Russethouse
Not working for me (there is a pic there, isn't there Nick?) Cat's techie, may be she will be able to help.....
Nick Trollope
The daft thing is, I made it work in the past. Trouble is I can't find the post, to allow me to see what I did. I'd do a "search by user" to find the post, but that doesn't seem to work either...
Sunday Driver
It works OK, Nick. Go to your website, select the picture you want, right click on it and select Properties. Highlight the Address (URL) and right click to copy it. Finally, paste the URL in between the two forum image on/off codes as explained by Will (don't leave any spaces before or after the URL).
Will
Yes, good explanation SD, and it works like that for me too. But it seems that Nick can't use the 'img' tags for some reason. I suspect it is something to do with that 'border' thing that looks like a bit of stray HTML code creeping in from somewhere, so itcould be something to do with Nick's particular set up. Cat
Was this the thread you were thinking of Nick http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/896488/ShowPost.aspx ? You posted a picture from your website in it. The code for the photo was http://www.aplaceinfrance.com/images/misc/satsetup.jpgUsually all you need to do to publish photos from your own website here is to right click on the photo, select copy, and then paste it into your mail.
