can someone please try to answer me a question regarding assedic

i have just completed a 10 month seasonal contract on a french contract. 4 months ago i had an accident at work which meant i was paid for four months by c.p.a.m my contract has now finished untill january next year i was told to go to assedic and register for unemployment . some one has told me since that the four months i was ill will not count therefore i would not have accumulated enough hours/credits has anyone else been in this situation if so could you tell me the procedure and the outcome any help or advise would be greatly apreciated

Your best bet is to go directly tot he Assedic with all your paperwork and ask them.

If you can't face the queue and speak French then you can avoid going in by using their on line service : www.assedic.fr

As far as I know you need at least 6 months full time work to qualify BUT it also depends on what time period they use to calculate your contributions.

It will also depend on what your job was as to how much you long you have had to work to qualify. Go and see them and take all the paper work with you, hopefully your former employer will have given you the right forms when you finished, sometimes they don't.
