Albert the InfoGipsy
Has someone been playing with the Forum software again? Each time I come back I find I've been logged off. Is it a cunning way to shove that ruddy pop-up in my face again?

NormanH
Not for me on Firefox 8 and Windows 7 64 bit, not on Linux and Firefox 7.I even stay logged in when I switch between systems.
Chancer
I get logged off at least once a day, it was very bad up till about a year ago then rarely happened, now since the appearance of the advert it happens frequently.I do think that at least in my case it is related to how much time I spend on the forum, when it was behaving relatively well the one time i could be sure that it would log me off is if I revisited after an absence and hence was viewing for longer than normal. andyh4
Happening to me too Albert - but not just here, other places as well - so I would be loathe to immediately blame the irritating little ad.
AnOther
Happened to me a couple of times recently but I can't get excited about it.Albert, have you not noticed the 'don't show me this again' on the pop up.

I click it everytime it appears but the pop-up just comes back the next time I log in.
andyh4
.Albert, have you not noticed the 'don't show me this again' on the pop up.
I noticed that ANO - seems to work nearly as long as you can stay signed in!! AnOther
Clicking 'don't show me' creates a cookie called francePopupDaily and if it isn't 'sticking' then check that you are not clearing your cookies when closing your browser.Logging off shouldn't affect it. LAiffricaine
Sorry been away for a couple of days ... whilst that and munching on a discusting bought sandwich, I did put a post (can't remember which subject now) and was surprised that on my next looking in that the post was not there at all ... I blamed it on the company's MIS department blocking out all communications to an 'alien' website !
Albert the InfoGipsy
Yup! I've seen it, clicked it. The main way I know I've been logged out is that the durned thing pops up again. This is sometimes in mid-session and other times when I've opened a new browser window.Touch wood it hasn't happened today yet.

It appears that logging off does affect it, because the ruddy pop-up is the first symptom that tells me I've been logged out.
AnOther
Well all I can say is that logging off doesn't affect it for me but when I delete the cookie voila, up it comes, go figure !Using Firefox BTW, don't know about IE never use it and still only have v7 anyway.
