Bannon
There must be many people - myself included, that 'worry' about trades people be they French or British being qualified to do the job they are being asked to do. A solution may be at hand. I have was made aware recently of a scheme whereby those that advertise their services can, by arrangment with the authorities, place the letter 'a' on the advert thus showing that they are qualified. I was told it was a red one for those that were qualified in their registered trade, and blue one if they had been trading for a certain number of years. Here's the puzzle though. I've never seen one! Thoughts anyone?
Val_2
We have artisan stickers for our vehicles supplied by our building trade association (CAPEB) here in Finistre as probably other depts in France. To belong to this, you are invited to join, you don't go to them and this makes me wonder that before this invitation they check you out thoroughly so as not to knowingly be taking on cowboys and black workers.
