A couple of questions

I'd be interested to know if anyone can help me out with a couple of little queries.

1. Dual Nationality: As I understand it, one is untitled to apply for french citizenship after 3 years of marriage to a french national, although this is reduced to 2 years if you have a child.

2. What are a father's paternity rights in France? I've been told it's 11 days.

NB: I do not assume that having french nationality will make me french and this is by no means an attempt to denounce my Britishness. Our daughter will automatically become a french citizen and for practical purposes I'd like to obtain dual nationality.
I know that as a teacher I already have a lot of holidays. I'd simply like to know what the law says. I'm not even sure whether I'll take my full entitlement as I am starting a new job (on a CDD) and want to make a good impression in order to obtain a CDI (Work/Family balance???)
