Renate
Pucette advised me to buy savon noir to clear the old kitchen tiles. Off to Super U this morning and delighted to find said stuff on the shelf. sadly, no instructions for use on the tub. Should this be diluted, used as a soap or what? can Pucette or anyone else help? letrangere
Renate, I've got an English friend who uses black soap on her face, claims it does wonders for her complexion. Can't be the same stuff, surely? M

As far as I can see it is used in solution for regular cleaning (a walnut-sized lump for 10l of water) but can be used neat, with wire wool if necessary, on stubborn stains.MWJ's friend's soap is easier to find out about, based on olives and used in hammams... Val_2
Reminds me of those ads in comics when we were kids where you could buy things like whoopee cushions, fart gas, plastic dog poo, soluable sea monkeys and soap which when applied to your skin turned it black. Who remembers those days?
