Binky
Is it just me or does the number of postings that you do, mean that you are taken notice of more, or at least think you should be?I have seen a number of posting where people have put answers on to try and help only to be shot down sometimes in thinly veiled sarcasm by others who apparently believe because they have posted more times or been on longer they know better
Binky
By the way I am not saying that this applies to all because I have also seen some very helpful replies from persons who have posted a lot of times

Speaking for myself - but I think it may be the same for others - I think most of us just visit the website when we have time and if we see something that interests us, we make a comment on it. I don't think most of us give any thought to number of postings or whether it makes us more important. It's just a way of socialising and sharing ideas. >I have seen a number of >posting where people have put >answers on to try and >help only to be shot >down sometimes in thinly veiled >sarcasm by others who apparently >believe because they have posted >more times or been on >longer they know better.I don't think it's to do with number of postings or how long people have been on, but there are undoubtedly some people who are able to speak from their experiences on different aspects of France, more than others. Although, I do agree that there may be the odd person who can't see the other side to the story.Jill (99)
SaligoBay
>Is it just me or does >the number of postings that >you do, mean that you >are taken notice of more, >or at least think you >should be?Tricky one. Hang on till I post this, I can see if I'm beating Dick down below, and I'll let you know how important I feel... >down sometimes in thinly veiled >sarcasm by others who apparently >believe because they have posted >more times or been on >longer they know betterNah, it's just their virtual personalities shining through, no relation at all to number of posts. I'd like to be producing some Quality posts after 4 years in France, but sadly it's still just the same old Quantity that keeps gushing forth from my qwerty keyboard, like an overflowing fosse septique. Binky
I have to say these made me laugh so perhaps quantity does make quality after allRay
Evianers
That's very curious, because I was just about to post virtually the same remarks myself. Amelie became so upset and frustrated that she posted 'I've had it with this forum' and left. There are sometimes unwanted and unwarranted snide remarks made to perfectly normal questions. What do these people hope to achieve?
